Welcome to "La Réunion"

Hello everyone and especially to you: the hikers.

I introduce myself, I am Gilles, a Réunion-man by adoption and Réunion lovers for over 30 years.

But I was born in Dordogne, in southwest of france.

I discovered Réunion island in 1983 and fell immediately in love with its people and landscapes, of the volcano, Piton de la Fournaise and the "cirques" (kinds of deep valleys).

During my holidays, I visited other volcanoes or volcanic sites in the world: Stromboli, Etna, Cotopaxi and Chimborazo in Ecuador Pele, Mountain in Martinique, Les Cappadoce in Turkey without forgetting the Auvergne volcanoes near my home Dordogne.

In 2024, I decovered Norway, In april : Laponie in the Finmarks and in August The Lofotens. Since, I can organize trips their, as I Did in February with hikes in snow-feet every days and northern lights the nights. 

At first, I practiced many sports including diving (level 3) and canyoning (federal monitor).

Now with my mountain leader diploma, I'm happy to guid you, most of the time off the tracks and to share my passion.
